Skip to contentNestled among the hills of Göcsej in Zala County, where the tranquillity of the landscape and an ancient culture exist side by side…
For us, this land is the centre of the world – a place that feels like the edge of it, most comparable to the Shire from The Lord of the Rings: endless peace and the order of nature reign here.
Our estate spans 30 unfenced hectares, where guests can experience not just a place to stay, but a kind of inner peace and the unspoilt rural idyll of a more innocent, carefree age.
Our story has its roots in family: we began as an equestrian estate, and over time the building of a former Catholic school and the surrounding abandoned houses became our living space.
Family collaboration is visible in every detail: our daughter Eszter, an interior stylist, conceived the spaces; Panni created the visual identity and the first websites; and Joki restores the old furniture in our own carpentry workshop – this is how past and present blend together in every house.
Today, our four houses – each with its own distinct character: Imre, Jónás, Bán, and Ferenc – welcome guests with a total of 9 rooms.
Our guiding belief is the preservation of heritage and respect for nature. Every building has been saved from ruin in its original form, with its old beams and walls kept intact.
During their stay, guests can become part of the everyday rhythms of wildlife – whether that means the beavers living by the pond, the deer that visit the garden, or Juno, our 24-year-old horse who was born here on the estate and often peers through the window in the mornings to check on guests enjoying their coffee.
We welcome with open hearts everyone who longs to slow down – whether you are a couple seeking retreat, a group of friends, or a family with children.
