At this time of year, the forest begins to tell its own story, and the distinctive sound of roaring red deer becomes part of the evening and your peaceful retreat. Wildlife also becomes increasingly active during the day.
And the best place to experience it is from the private Szegvidék Wildlife Lookout.

Why we love this package
During the day, you can still explore the familiar hills, meadows and forests of Vörösszeg – only now, you are likely to encounter more wildlife along the way.
Then evening approaches. The air cools, the familiar sounds of the day disappear, everything falls silent – and mysterious sounds begin to fill the landscape.
There is no organised programme for the red deer rut. And that is exactly what makes it so special. We provide everything you need to set off independently and well prepared, including a short guide and the right equipment. From the Szegvidék Wildlife Hide, you can observe deer, roe deer and foxes without disturbing the natural environment.
Although we cannot promise that the deer will be mating on the exact evening of your stay, we can promise that it is worth sitting quietly and paying attention.

A private wildlife hide by the stream awaits you on the estate. It is within easy walking distance of the houses, yet far enough away for you to watch the forest and the vast meadow stretching out before you in complete silence.
Take your place at dusk, wrap yourself in a blanket and wait for the landscape around you to come alive. During the red deer rut, this is where you can listen to one of autumn’s most extraordinary woodland concerts – almost as if you had your own private box.

Ha már sötétben indultok vissza a házhoz, jól jön egy kis segítség. Zseblámpát is készítünk nektek, hogy az esti séta kényelmesebb és biztonságosabb legyen.

Naturally, we cannot guarantee wildlife sightings – these are wild animals living in the area around the guest houses, not animals kept on the estate. However, during this time of year, there is a very good chance of spotting them!
